Shrey Kohli is currently working as a young project investigator at the Institute of laboratory medicine at Leipzig University in Germany. He has completed his masters in biotechnology from India and his PhD from Magdeburg, Germany. His research focusses on the mechanisms of thrombo-inflammation in physiological (development) and pathological conditions. In particular, he is studying the role of platelets and EVs in thrombo-inflammation. Platelets, popularly known for their role in maintaining hemostasis, are increasingly recognized as key regulators of vascular inflammation. His work aims at dissecting the role of platelets and associated coagulation regulators in pregnancy, renal development and vascular complications.
