Maya Bloomberg is a board‐certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Classical Hematology Nurse Practitioner at Sylvester Compehrensive Cancer Center and Jackson Memorial Hospital. She is also the Adult Nurse Coordinator at the University of Miami Hemophilia Treatment Center. She has worked in her current role for over 9 years, specializing in sickle cell disease and congenital bleeding disorders, which shed light on the significant health and racial disparities that exist in modern medicine. This led her to create a social media page @theHemeNP devoted to providing reliable hematology information to empower self advocacy and bridge disarities. She is actively involved in nursing research, having manuscripts published on the topic of home infusion of factor replacement and prescribing practices among HTC providers.
