Vanessa Bouskill is the Nurse Practitioner of the Comprehensive Bleeding Disorders Program in the Division of Hematology/Oncology at the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto, Canada and Adjunct Faculty at the Lawrence Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing at the University of Toronto, Canada. Vanessa has been working within the Comprehensive Bleeding Disorders Program at SickKids since 2012 as the sole Nurse Practitioner of the program. There are approximately 500 registered patients with bleeding disorders within the program, and over 120 on home infusion therapy.
Vanessa is a Principal Investigator with the Research Institute at SickKids, and has research interests in the area of congenital bleeding disorders in children, particularly in the area of implications of a chronic condition on daily life. Vanessa is also involved in numerous interventional clinical trials, as well as international studies and collaborations involving imaging protocols (point of care ultrasound) and knowledge translation.
