Rodney M. Camire, PhD
Rodney is a Professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Hematology at the Children’s Hopsital of Philadelphia and University of Pennsylvania and holds the CHOP endowed Chair in Hematology Research. He is also the Associate Chief Scientific Strategy Officer at the CHOP Research Institute. Rodney’s laboratory is interested in how coagulaton factors are regulated, how disturbances in their function lead to bleeding and thrombosis, and developing therapeutic approaches to mitigate these events. Rodney has received numerous awards including the ISTH Invstigator Regocnaiton Award in 2017 and is active in the hemostasis scientific community as he sits on the Editorial Board of Blood and is a member of HTBT study section at NIH. He received his Ph.D. in biochemistry from The University of Vermont in Burlington, VT and did his postdoctoral training in the Division of Hematology at CHOP and UPENN.
