Dr Jamie O'Sullivan (PhD) is a principal investigator at the Irish Centre for Vascular Biology at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. She has a long standing interest in VWF and FVIII biology completing her PhD in Trinity College Dublin. During her postdoctoral studies she spent time in KU Leuven University in Belgium studying the interaction between VWF multimers and tumour cells. Jamie was the recipient of the international Martin Villar Haemostasis Award for her work on VWF clearance. She was appointed to her current academic post in 2019 where she leads a growing research group investigating the role of dysregulated coagulation in cancer. She also serves as co-chair of the ISTH-SSC subcommittee on VWF biology. Recently she was awarded significant research funding from Science Foundation Ireland and the Irish Research Council and has research positions available in her lab.
