Vera Ignjatovic, PhD is a big-picture thinker motivated to make a difference. Having operated at the intersection of clinical practice and medical research for over two decades, her expertise spans translational strategy, from identification of biomarkers in clinical studies to all aspects of pre-clinical and clinical drug development. She has partnered with multi-disciplinary and multi-sector stakeholders to develop clinically novel research outcomes, including with industry. As a globally recognized expert in pediatric thrombosis and hemostasis and proteomics, her work has advanced knowledge of the blood clotting system in children and has enabled significant improvements in child health. Naturally business-focused and pragmatic, her Global Executive MBA training has assisted her to challenge pre-existing paradigms. Dr. Ignjatovic views problems holistically, with strong skills in interpreting, synthesizing, and communicating complex scientific and business issues into practical strategies and protocols.
