    Zsuzsa Bagoly received a medical degree from the University of Debrecen, Faculty of Medicine, Hungary in 2004. She obtained her PhD in clinical hemostasis in 2008. She became a specialist in laboratory medicine in 2011. She is an associate professor at the University of Debrecen. Her main area of interest is thrombosis, fibrinolysis and stroke.
    She served as a co-chair of the ISTH Factor XIII and Fibrinogen Scientific and Standardisation Committee (2013-18, 2021-). She is an Executive Board Member of the Hungarian Society of Thrombosis and Haemostasis (2018-). In recent years, she has been awarded a number of prestigious scientific awards, including the L’Oreal UNESCO Prize for Women in Science in 2020.
