George Tarpley, “MSc”, is a Haemostasis Application Specialist at Sysmex UK. George earned his Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Human Biology at Loughborough University, including industrial placement as a ‘Haematology Product Specialist Intern’ at Sysmex UK. Following his BSc award, George was employed as a ‘Graduate Scientific Trainee’ at Sysmex UK, where he trained and practised as a Biomedical Scientist for 2 years at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Gateshead, UK. During this period he completed a graduate certificate in Biomedical Science at Ulster University and obtained his HCPC state registration. Specialising in Haemostasis, George transitioned into his current role as a Haemostasis Application Specialist, where he completed a Master of Science (MSc) in Biomedical Science at Anglia Ruskin University. As a Haemostasis Application Specialist his current focus is on clinical performance evaluation studies, specifically IVDR performance evaluation studies. Outside of routine duties, George has particular research interests in Haemostasis preanalytics. Outside of work and academic commitments, George likes to keep himself active in and outside of the gym, and to spend quality time with his loved ones.
