Sadiq Silbak is a 3rd year pre-doctoral student in Dr. Alvin Schmaier’s laboratory at Case Western Reserve University. His research project is focused on the role of contact activation with blood-contacting medical devices. He completed his Master of Science in immunology at the University of Cincinnati in 2015. Subsequently, he conducted research in the field of Neurofibromatosis Type I in Dr. Nancy Ratner’s laboratory at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC). While conducting research at CCHMC, he accepted two teaching appointments as an adjunct instructor, one at the University of Cincinnati and the other at Xavier University for 2 and 1.5 years, respectively.
