My name is Meghna U. Naik, and I obtained a Master degree in Chemistry from the University of Bombay, India. Currently, I am working as a Research Scientist in the Cardeza Foundation for Hematologic Research, Department of Medicine, Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, PA. USA. I have authored more than 22 original scientific publications in the field of thrombosis, cancer, and neuroscience. I am a member of ISTH and American Society of Hemostasis. I reviewed manuscripts for the International Journal of Cancer. I also co-chair for the oral session at the ISTH meeting in Kyoto, Japan.
I use a number of in-vivo animal models and biochemical approaches to evaluate the positive and negative regulatory mechanism of platelet activation during thrombosis and in determining the mechanism of new blood vessel formation during ischemia.
