Currently working on my Ph.D. project which aim is to induce immunological tolerance toward Factor VIII in Haemophilia A patients that develop inhibitors after protein replacement therapy. We aim to prevent and/or reverse the formation of inhibitory anti-FVIII antibodies using FVIII-specific third-generation chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) regulatory T cells able to suppress FVIII-specific humoral and cellular responses in vitro and in vivo.
Moreover, I'm part of the EDUC8 consortium, an Innovative Training Network (ITN) funded by the European Union Horizon 2020 Programme which focuses on Factor VIII Immunogenicity.
