Enrico Di Cera, M.D., is the Alice A. Doisy Professor and Chairman of the Edward A. Doisy Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. He received his M.D. degree in 1985 from the Universita’ Cattolica in Rome and did postdoctoral work at the University of Colorado in Boulder with Professors Stan Gill and Jeffries Wyman. He joined the faculty at Washington University in St. Louis in 1990, where he eventually became the Roy and Diana Vagelos Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics and Professor of Internal Medicine. He moved to his current position in 2010. Dr. Di Cera is a Fellow of the AAAS. His current research focuses on the structural enzymology of coagulation factors.
