My name is Sangavi Sivananthan, and I am a second year PhD student attending McMaster University. I have earned my degree of Honours in Bachelor of Science, double majored in Human Biology and Psychology, at University of Toronto. I have also earned my degree in Masters of Science, in Biochemistry and Specialization in Human Molecular Genetics, at University of Ottawa. As a current passion for Hereditary Angioedema, my research involves biopanning two existing alpha1-antitrypsin phage display libraries randomized from P7-P3’, with Pka and to characterize the most abundant candidate sequences and their combination as standalone proteins and inhibits of complement and coagulation proteases.
