Steven Grover, PhD is an Assistant Professor in the Blood Research Center at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His research focusses on the role of the contact pathway of coagulation in thrombotic pathologies leveraging well established mouse models. This research has included identification of key contributions of coagulation factors XII and XI and their negative regulator C1 inhibitor to venous thrombus formation in mice. Additional research by his group has begun to reveal the contribution of a number of non-canonical coagultion reactions to thrombin generation in mice.
