Julia Hews-Girard PhD RN is an adjunct assistant professor in the Faculty of Nursing and a post-doctoral fellow in Community Health Sciences in the Cumming School of Medicine (both at the University of Calgary). Clinically, Julia works in the Southern Alberta Bleeding Disorders comprehensive care program and as a Senior Practice Lead in the office of the Associate Chief Nursing Officer (AHS). Additional areas of focus include examining the impact of RN role expansion on health care quality and clinician experience, as well as the application of novel statistical techniques to answer clinically-based questions.
