Koenraad De Wispelaere (M.Sc) is a PhD researcher at the Centre for Molecular and Vascular Biology at KU Leuven, as a part of the Freson lab. He studies the unknown genetic aetiologies of rare Inherited Platelet Disorders using Whole genome and RNA sequencing, and functional validation using relevant cell lines and genome editing techniques. His research also lays emphasis on the study of these rare mendelial disorders using novel rare disease bioinformatic methods.
