Debanjan Mukherjee is an Assistant Professor in the Paul M Rady Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Colorado Boulder. He also serves as a faculty council member of the BioFrontiers Institute at Boulder, and as a program faculty for the Biomedical Engineering program at Boulder. Debanjan completed his PhD at the University of California, Berkeley, followed by a post-doctoral research appointment at Berkeley where he received the prestigious American Heart Association post-doctoral fellowship. At Boulder, Debanjan leads an interdisciplinary research group, named FLOWLab, which focuses on complex flow physics problems with applications to living systems. As a young investigator, Debanjan has received several awards for his research and teaching, including an NIH Trailblazer Award for new and early career investigators, a Ralph Powe Junior Faculty enhancement Award, and an Outstanding Graduate Educator Award at the University of Colorado Boulder.
