Dr. Ishac Nazy is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine and Department of Biochemistry and Biomedical Sciences at McMaster University and the co-director of the Michael G. DeGroote Centre for Transfusion Research. Dr. Nazy’s research interests are in the specific interactions between antibodies and their target antigens in immune-mediated platelet disorders, leading to thrombocytopenia and/or thrombosis. Dr. Nazy is the lead investigator for research studies funded by CIHR, NIH, PHAC and CITF. His work has been published in journals including the New England Journal of Medicine, Nature, Nature Metabolism, Blood, and Journal of Thrombosis and Haemostasis, among others.
