Fiona Robinson, PhD, is a Consultant, Medical Writing and Editing with expertise in inherited bleeding disorders and community-driven communications. Following a PhD in RNA biochemistry at Cambridge University and post-doctoral research in neurodevelopment/neurodegeneration at the Toronto Hospital for Sick Children, Fiona followed her passion for empowerment through knowledge into the field of medical communications and education. For the past 15 years she has enjoyed crafting innovative solutions to effectively communicate complex medical information to specific stakeholder audiences including patients, community advocates, healthcare professionals, regulators, payers, policy makers, researchers, funders, and the general public. Fiona leads the medical writers in the European Haemophilia Consortium’s educational app, EHCucate, development team. Her work with the bleeding disorders community also includes 7 years as the Educational Materials Manager of the World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH) and writing 10 peer-reviewed articles presenting the National Hemophilia Foundation (NHF) State of the Science Research Summit’s foundation for a National Research Blueprint (Expert Review of Hematology, March 2023).
