Siobhan is a 4th year PhD candidate in biomedical sciences at Oakland University. Siobhan grew up in Zimbabwe and completed her medical degree at Uzhhorod National University in Ukraine before pursuing a PhD in Dr Washington's immunohemostasis laboratory in 2019. Her research is focused on understanding the role that Trem-Like Transcript-1, a platelet receptor, plays in immunohemostasis. She is passionate about translational science and her goal is to transition into a career as a physician scientist in hematology, with a dual path as both a clinician and basic research scientist. She is determined to continue pursuing research that has a direct impact on patient care.
