Dr. Yuri Uchiyama is currently Assistant Professor of Rare Disease Genomics at Yokohama City University Hospital in Japan and holds the following certifications: Board Certified Member of the Japanese Society of Hematology, Board Certified Doctor of the Japanese Society on Thrombosis and Hemostasis, Fellow of the Japanese Society of Internal Medicine, and Board Certified Member of the Japanese Medical Genetics and Genomics, Clinical Genetics.
Her subspecialty is hematology and human molecular genetics. In the field of hematology, she reported on VEXAS syndrome in Japan, GFI1B-related thrombocytopenia, and CYCS-related thrombocytopenia. In the field of human molecular genetics, she has participated in international collaborations and reported SNAPC4-related disorder and Atelis syndrome 1 (SLF2). She was Specially Appointed Assistant Professor of Oncology at Yokohama City University Graduate School of Medicine from Apr 2018 to Mar 2020.
She received her Ph.D. degree from Gunma University in 2018. She graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, Gunma University School of Medicine in 2009. She started her career as a junior and senior resident at Gunma University Hospital and its affiliated hospitals from April 2009 to March 2014.
