Juraj Sokol, MD is a graduate of Jessenius Faculty of Medicine, Comenius University in Slovakia, where he also attended his udergraduate studies, where graduated manga cum laude. Dr. Sokol trained at the Martin University Hospital at the Department of Hematology and Transfusion Medicine. During his residency, he was able to provide superior care and consultation that resulted in an overall improvement. Afterwards, he completed a felloship at Leiden University Medical Center and University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. During these years he worked on the following topics: platelet aggregation in patient with Sticky Platelet Syndrome, measurement of blood coagulation factors in woman with history of fetal loss, changes in hemostasis in multiple myeloma, genetic polymorphisms in patients with platelet hyperaggregability, antithrombin deficiency, and statistical analysis of large data sets.
