Originally from Guatemala, I obtained my B.S. at Antillean University in Puerto Rico. I later obtained my M.S. in Biology from California State University, Fresno, where I studied the mechanisms of tunneling nanotubes (TNTs) formation. I am a 3rd-year graduate student studying mitochondrial calcium's role in platelet activation and thrombosis.
