Rebecca Risman is currently a Graduate Fellow as part of the Tutwiler Lab in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Rutgers University in New Jersey. She received her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering at Rutgers in 2019. Rebecca was awarded a graduate fellowship from the New Jersey Space Grant Consortium (NJSGC) funded by NASA, a pre-doctoral fellowship from the New Jersey Commission on Cancer Research (NJCCR), and is a trainee in the NIH Rutgers Biotechnology Training Program. Her PhD thesis focuses on the mechanisms of fibrinolytic resistance. At ISTH 2023, Rebecca will present on the structural and mechanistic role of fibrinogen concentration on internal fibrinolyis.
