Prof. Giuseppe Camporese, medical degree from the University of Padua School of Medicine in 1993; post-graduation degree in Angiology in 1996 at the University of Catania (Summa cum laude). Internship in Angiology at the Unit of Angiology of the University Hospital of Padua until March 1998, when became an Assistant in the same Unit. In 2001, Coordinator of Emergency Working Unit for In- and Out-Patients. In 2017, Abilitation to Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine. In February 2022 he moved to the Unit of General Medicine-Thrombotic and Haemorrhagic Disorders, Department of Internal Medicine (Head: Prof. Paolo Simioni) of Padua University Hospital, as Coordinator of the section of Vascular Medicine. Teaching chairman at the Post-Graduate School of Physiatrics, at the Post-Graduate School of Thoracic Surgery, and at the Master in Vascular Medicine of the Padua University Hospital. In 2013, Chair of the first course for nurses on “VTE management (epidemiology, diagnosis and treatment) with the new oral anticoagulants” of the Padua University Hospital. He is a fellow of the Italian Society of Angiology and Vascular Disease, of the Italian Society for Vascular Investigations, of the International Union of Angiology and of the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis. Member of the Board of the Italian Society for Vascular Investigation for 6 years (2008-2013) and he is currently a tutor of the Society. In the last 10 years he got degrees for BLSD, ACLS and ACLS-XP from the American Heart Association. Author of more than 100 publications on peer-reviewed journals and of several chapters in different textbooks dealing with vascular diseases. His main field of research span a broad range of arterial and venous disorders. Sub-investigator and/or principal investigator in more than 40 randomized clinical trials dealing with drugs or with management of vascular diagnosis, and currently a member of some Advisory Boards.
