Ingrid Pabinger’s scientific fields of expertise encompass hereditary and acquired bleeding disorders, including hemophilia, and thrombotic disorders. Until October 2021, she was Professor of Haemostaseology in the Clinical Division of Haematology and Haemostaseology at the Medical University of Vienna, Vienna, Austria. Prof. Pabinger has published more than 510 papers in peer-reviewed journals and has worked as Section or Associate Editor for several scientific journals, including Haematologica, the Journal of Thrombosis and Haemostasis, Thrombosis and Haemostasis and Thrombosis Research.
Prof. Pabinger served as Vice President of the Congress of the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH) in Berlin in 2017. She has been involved in several international scientific societies, including the boards of the German, Austrian and Swiss Society of Thrombosis and Haemostasis (GTH) and the European Hematology Association (EHA), and committees of the American Society of Hematology (ASH). Prof. Pabinger was President of the ISTH from 2016 to 2018 and is at present Chair of the European Thrombosis and Haemostasis Alliance (ETHA).
