    Soerajja Bhoelan (1994) works as a PhD candidate at the department of Haematology – section Haemostasis and Thrombosis of the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG) under the supervision of prof dr. Karina Meijer and dr. Vladimir Tichelaar. Before starting her PhD, Soerajja obtained her medical
    degree at Utrecht University in 2018. Her research focuses on the different aspects of infection and inflammation, in venous thromboembolism. Next to her research, she works as a coagulation doctor at the outpatient clinics for Haemostasis andThrombosis of the UMCG.
