Alfred Weber, PhD, is now working for more than 35 years with the pharmaceutical industry (Immuno, Baxter, Baxalta, Shire and now Baxalta Innovations GmbH, part of Takeda). He was/is focused on the analytical support for the development of plasma-derived and recombinant coagulation factors and inhibitors. Thus, he provided analytics contributing to the development of the plasma-derived protein C concentrate CEPROTIN, the recombinant von Willebrand factor and the PEGylated recombinant factor VIII to mention coagulation-related proteins.
