Annukka Jouppila, M.Sc., Research scientist, Clinical Research Institute of Helsinki University Hospital, Helsinki, and Research Program in Systems Oncology, University of Helsinki, Finland. She has master’s degree in molecular biology from the University of Oulu, Finland in 1997. During 1995-2004, she studied the mediators of the neurotransmission regarding structure-function relationship of ionotropic glutamate receptors, at the VTT Technical Research Institute and University of Helsinki. Since 2005, she has worked at the Coagulation Disorders Research Group lead by Professor Riitta Lassila at the Helsinki University Hospital and University of Helsinki in the field of thrombosis and hemostasis. Her main research topics are novel antithrombotics mimicking heparin proteoglycans, and translational coagulation disorders, serving the clinical training programs.
