Cristina Sierra has been working as a specialist in the Hemostasis and Thrombosis section of the Hematology and Hemotherapy Service of the Cruces University Hospital (Vizcaya - Spain) since 2012. She graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Zaragoza, and completed her medical speciality at the Miguel Servet University Hospital in Zaragoza (Spain).
She completed her doctoral thesis in 2013 with the title "Diagnosis and follow-up of musculoskeletal injuries in hemophiliac patients using ultrasonographic imaging techniques" with Cum Laude qualification.
She has improve her knowledge in the area of congenital coagulopathies in the Hemostasis and Thrombosis Unit of the La Fe University Hospital in Valencia (Spain), focusing her study on the ultrasound diagnosis of musculoskeletal disorders in hemophilic patients.
She belongs to the Spanish Society of Hemostasis and Thrombosis since 2012 and is a member of the scientific committee of the Royal Victoria Eugenia Foundation from 2018 to the present
She has completed two master's degrees in relation to Congenital Coagulopathies and acquired by the University of Alcalá de Henares and by the University of Pamplona.
