Rebecca Jeltuhin received her bachelor's degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology in biomedical engineering and is currently a Lead Research Specialist at the Emory School of Medicine. She will begin pursuing her MD/PhD this summer. Rebecca is driven to bridge engineering with clinical medicine. She works under the tutelage of Laura Downey, MD and David Myers, PhD. Rebecca’s primary research focuses on leveraging platelet biophysical function to better understand the mechanics of clotting during hemostasis and thrombosis. She is currently studying how neonatal platelet biophysical function is affected by cardiopulmonary bypass during cardiac surgery.
