Dr. Lucas Kühne, MD, is a resident in internal medicine at the Department II of Internal Medicine and Center for Molecular Medicine Cologne (CMMC), Faculty of Medicine and University Hospital Cologne, University of Cologne in Cologne, Germany.
After completing medical school at the Universities of Cologne and Freiburg, Germany, with clinical electives in Southhampton, UK, and Luxemburg, he started his residency in Cologne and developed a special interest in thrombotic microangiopathies, especially thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura and atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome.
As part of the German TTP study group he has (co-)authored several papers on the integration of caplacizumab into real-world TTP management and is involved in clinical studies on TTP and aHUS.
