Dante Disharoon is a postdoctoral fellow in the Biomedical Engineering Department at Case Western Reserve University, where he is developing diagnostic technology to improve management of traumatic injury. Dante received his PhD in Chemical and Biological Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines in 2021. After graduating, he was given the Outstanding PhD Thesis Award for his work developing magnetically controlled drug delivery microbots for the dissolution of blood clots. In 2022, Dante was selected as a DARPA Riser in recognition of his early career accomplishments. Moving forward, he hopes to establish a name for himself as a researcher who leverages computer science, electrical engineering, chemical engineering, and biomedical engineering to develop outstanding technologies in the fields of thrombosis and hemostasis.
