Ana Ignat is a PhD student in the Department of Immunology and Inflammation, Centre for Haematology at Imperial College London. Her project aims to investigate the mechanisms behind thrombosis and inflammation in Anti-Neutrophil Cytoplasmic Antibody (ANCA)-associated vasculitis.
She obtained a BSc in Biochemistry at Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi, Romania. She also took part in the Erasmus+ program at the University of Padua, Italy. Most recently, she completed the MSc in Molecular Medicine at Imperial College London. Her research focused on characterising nine type 1 Von Willebrand Disease (VWD)-causing mutations.
