She is a 6th-year student in Emory's Medical Scientist Training Program, completing her Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering under the advisement of Wilbur Lam, MD, Ph.D. at Emory/Georgia Tech. Her work focuses on understanding rheological behaviors unique to Sickle Cell Disease to provide improved methods for anticipating patients' clinical course.
