Assoc. Prof. Cristina Solomon, M.D., M.B.A., Vice President Clinical Research and Development, Haematology, Octapharma AG (Lachen, Switzerland) studied Medicine in Romania and graduated in 2004, after which she obtained her M.D title from Hannover Medical School, Germany, where she started her training as Anaesthesiologist. She became an associate professor of experimental Anaesthesiology at the Paracelsus Medical University in Salzburg, Austria in 2012 and subsequently joined the pharmaceutical industry. She held a leading global position in Medical Affairs until 2015 and joined Octapharma AG in 2016, as Senior Director for Clinical R&D and Clinical Operations in Haematology, responsible for clinical development, input into regulatory process, delivery on the clinical research strategy for plasma-derived and recombinant coagulation factors.
