Toshiaki Shirai, PhD, is an assistant professor of Clinical and Laboratory Medicine at University of Yamanashi.
His research interests include platelet biology, animal model, and biomedical engineering. He specializes in developing mouse disease models and endothelialzed microfluidic devices for platelet function analysis. His current research involves the pathophysiological roles of platelet activation receptor CLEC-2 in cancer progression.
