Sarah Beck, PhD: I am currently working as Postdoc at the Institute of Experimental Biomedicine I and Rudolf-Virchow-Center, University Hospital and University of Würzburg, Germany.
Following my studies in biomedicine (BSc/MSc), I completed my doctoral thesis in the group of Bernhard Nieswandt in 2018 (Würzburg, Germany) where I studied the role of platelet glycoprotein V in thrombosis and hemostasis. After continuing these studies during my first postdoc, I joined the Medical University of Vienna as a visiting scientist in the group of Johannes Schmid at the Institute of Vascular Biology and Thrombosis Research last September.
My research focuses on platelet receptor regulation in thrombosis, hemostasis and coagulation using advanced imaging modalities, pharmacological approaches and humanized mouse models.
