Dr Rebecca Kruse-Jarres is the Executive and Medical Director of the Washington Center for Bleeding Disorders (WABCD) and Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA. She received her Doctor of Medicine and a Master’s degree in Public Health from Tulane University in New Orleans. Dr Kruse-Jarres served as the Associate Director of the Louisiana Center for Bleeding and Clotting Disorders until July 2014, prior to her move to Seattle. She was the president of the Hemostasis and Thrombosis Research Society from 2018–2020 and is the Medical Director for the Mountain States Hemophilia Network.
Dr Kruse-Jarres has been part of a collaborative pioneering the use of musculoskeletal ultrasound in haemophilia in the US. She has instigated and participated in several investigator-initiated trials to assess and validate the role of ultrasound to assess acute bleeding as well as long-term joint health.
