I have focused my career on hemostasis and thrombosis and hold leadership positions within my institution. These include Director of Thrombosis, Co-Director of the Hemostasis and Thrombosis Program, and Co-Chair of the Safe Anticoagulation Committee. I lend my anticoagulation expertise for the STARZL Alliance of Pediatric Transplant Surgeons’ Network in North America. I am also one of the founding members of the International Pediatric Thrombosis Network and an active member of the International Society of Thrombosis and Hemostasis as well as American Society of Hematology.
I am the institutional PI for national and international Thrombosis trials and have ongoing investigator initiated research in Neonatal thrombosis. I am passionate about understanding the role of the developing hemostatic system and it's impact on neonatal thrombosis, the interaction of clinical and acquired risk factors in thrombus development and developing risk stratification models to predict thrombosis.
