Dr. Mettine Bos is a protein chemist with a special interest in the biochemistry of blood coagulation. Her research focuses on structure-function aspects of blood coagulation proteases, with the overall goal of developing innovative therapeutic proteins or identifying novel targets for the treatment of either bleeding or thrombosis. Her research has led to high impact publications and to several inventions that have been filed as (licensed) patent applications, and she is editorial board member of several scientific journals, including the Journal of Thrombosis and Haemostasis.
