Stephen R. Baker, Ph.D. is currently a Visting Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at Wake Forest University. He received his Ph.D. in Physics from Wake Forest University after which he spent three and a half years as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow under the direction of Prof. Robert Ariens. His main area of interest is coagulation with a specific focus on fibrin and fibrinogen. Current projects include using traditional physics-based techniques (Atomic Force Microscopy, Light Scattering, Microrheology, Combined Fluorescence systems, etc.) to better understand clotting and disease.
