Larry Goldfinger, PhD, is Professor of Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. He earned his BS in Biology from Carnegie Mellon University, and PhD in Cell Biology from Northwestern University Medical School. He did his postdoctoral training at Scripss and UCSD under Mark Ginsberg, MD. Larry began his career as an independent scientist in 2008 in the Sol Sherry Thrombosis Center at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, Philadelphia. His early studies focused on cancer cell signaling and platelet-tumor interactions. He joined the Cardeza Foundation for Hematologic Research in the Department of Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University in 2018, where his lab studies function and regulation of protein synthesis in platelets.
