Dr. Riten Kumar is the medical director of the Thrombosis and Anticoagulation Program at Boston Children’s Hospital and an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the Harvard Medical School. After completing medical school at the University of Calcutta, he did his postgraduate training at SUNY Downstate, New York and the Mayo Clinic, Minnesota. In 2013, he completed a second fellowship in thrombosis/hemostasis at the Hospital for Sick Children, Ontario, Canada. Dr. Kumar is a recipient of the Young Researcher Award by the World Federation of Hemophilia, the Eberhard Mammen Young Investigator and the mentored research award by the Hemostasis and Thrombosis Research Society.
