Since 2007, Dr Olivieri has worked at the Dr. von Hauner Children´s Hospital, LMU Clinic Munich, Germany. His current position is as Head of the Pediatric Thrombosis and Hemostasis Unit / Pediatric Hemophilia Centre and as senior physician in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. He is also Head of the Pediatric Stroke Unit, which is the first of its kind in Germany. Dr Olivieri specializes in pediatric and adolescent medicine, with a special interest in thrombosis and hemostasis and pediatric intensive care.

Dr Olivieri has published extensively in a number of top peer-reviewed journals and is member of numerous professional organizations including, Society for Thrombosis and Haemostasis Research (GTH), German Hemophilia Society (DHG), German Stroke Society (DSG), and the German interdisciplinary association for intensive care and emergency medicine (DIVI).
