Mansour Gergi, MD
Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Vermont.
Hematologist and Oncologist by training and treat hematologic diseases with focus on hematologic malignancies. My research interest is in outcome-based research focusing on care delivery in medical patients in general but cancer patients sepcifically, especially in the setting of thrombosis and hemostasis. I use the Electronic Health Record to develop computable phenotypes (algorithms) that allow capturing rare events such as bleeding in large cohorts of patients without the need for manual chart review. Our group have already published computable phenotypes for post discharge VTE (Jordan el. JTH 2021) and for post discharge bleeding (Gergi et al. JTH 2023).
