Associate Professor - Unit of Haematology and Inserm UMR_S 1140 - Innovative Therapies in Haemostasis (IThEM), Faculty of Pharmacy, Université Paris Cité, France.
After an Internship in Clinical Pathology (2000-2005) at the Hospital "Spedali Civili di Brescia", Italy and a Doctorate in Pathology and Medical Genetics (2006-2009) at the University of Pavia, Italy, Dr. Rossi has developed a wide experience in research as a postdoctoral researcher in angiogenesis field at the "Consejo Superior de Investigacion Cientifica - CSIC" in Madrid, Spain, at the "Harvard Medical School - Children's Hospital", Boston, USA, and at the University of Salamanca, Salamanca, Spain.
In 2017 she joined the unit Inserm UMRS1140 - IThEM, Faculty of Pharmacy - University of Paris with an Associate Professor position. Since 2009 Dr Rossi has been studying hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia type 1 (due to a mutation of the gene coding for endoglin), characterized by arteriovenous malformations, telangiectasias and epistaxis. Thanks to her background in pathology and angiogenesis Dr. Rossi is now developping a new research project that consider the cellular aspects of the vessel formation and haemostasis. Currently she is studying the functions of a membrane glycoprotein (endoglin, CD105) in primary hemostasis and in endothelial progenitor cells. (ORCiD:0000-0002-0570-6104).
