Catherine Richter, M.S., is a research specialist at the University of Michigan Medical School in the department of pediatrics. She has been working with zebrafish models of coagulation disorders in the Shavit laboratory for 15 years using gene editing tools and pioneering new phenotyping assays. She developed Shavit laboratory protocols for establishing new mutant lines and helped create 14 gene knockout models to further elucidate genetic modifiers of hemostasis and thrombosis. Ms. Richter has also trained postdoctoral fellows, graduate and undergraduate students for over a decade.
