André Luis Lira da Silva, PhD, is a Postdoctoral fellow at The Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, OR. He completed his bachelor’s degree in Biological Physics at Sao Paulo State University in Sao Paulo, Brazil and later earned his PhD in Molecular Biology at the Federal University of Sao Paulo. With a background in nanomedicine and nanotoxicology, his current research investigates the effects of lipopolysaccharides on the contact phase of blood coagulation.
