Eman Abdelghani, MD, is a pediatric hemostasis-thrombosis fellow at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Dr. Abdelghani earned her medical degree at the University of Jordan (Amman, Jordan) which was followed by an internship at Jordanian Royal Medical Services and a transitional residency at King Hussein Cancer Center in Jordan. She moved to the US afterwards to pursue training in pediatrics at Albert Einstein Medical center in Philadelphia which she completed in 2019. During these years, she developed deep interest in hemostasis / thrombosis and coagulation disorders in children, hence making it her primary research focus. Dr. Abdelghani pursued hematology/oncology/BMT fellowship at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in 2019. She joined the Kerlin lab in 2020 to study the role of anticoagulants in preserving kidney function and achieving thromboprophylaxis in nephrotic syndrome. She completed her hematology/oncology/BMT fellowship in 2022 and she is graduating from her current fourth year hemostasis/thrombosis fellowship by end of June,2023.
